Spitting image 2 Posted April 17, 2019 Hi all im 4 weeks post op and have lost 19kg since I started the pre op diet to today. The small amounts of food I can cope with. I ve found that I need to eat every hour and a half otherwise I get terrible growling hunger pangs. Which I found out ais acid. I ve started taking gaviscon after meals and it does seem to have made a difference. However now I have two different problems. One is a stitch in my side which I ve had for three days. The second is my toilet ting has tailed off. liquids is very weak flow and just a trickle, whilst solids I haven’t been in a week. I also find I’m getting very bloated by the afternoon. Lots of little issues but I just wanted a bit of advice. Thx all good luck on your journeys. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this

domi 237 Posted April 17, 2019 I put benefiber in my Water every day to help me go. In the beginning, I also used Miralax once a day. Your body is sluggish after surgery and with all of the Protein and little Fiber. Drink more water and add fiber. You do not want to get plugged up. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this

Frustr8 7,886 Posted May 4, 2019 If your urine is dark golden or light brown and starting to get a smell to it, flood yourself with Fluid, 2 oz every 15 minutes, that's 8 ounces an hour, 64 in 8, as a person who has herself gone through dehydration, took 2 bags-full the last time, because I got "bull-headed", talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face! Anyway people, and especially bariatric patients, do better on Fluid Drive. Popsicle yourself if necessary but get that fluid count up!!!
