TTU_FAN_19 8 Posted April 17, 2019 I've been following the pre-op diet very carefully but have questions about the diet. I've continued to fall below the 800 calorie per day quota and 30 max carbs. I do exceed the Protein requirement by a great deal. Is this normal? Has anyone else had a hard time keeping to this diet? I don't cheat at all, no desire to actually. Just worried about the numbers not matching.... I'm scheduled for the 26th and don't want to get rescheduled! If I eat more calories, my protien will increase also... Briswife15 890 Posted April 17, 2019 You'll be fine. The point is to shrink your liver on a low carb, low fat diet. If you really have questions you need to contact your surgeon's office. Good luck on your surgery, and good job not cheating!!Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
GradyCat 3,695 Posted April 17, 2019 Protein's not gonna hurt you. The main point is to shrink your liver, which you're doing on low-cal and low-fat diet pre-op.

I think that even if the scale doesnt move much, it really depends on how your liver looks! Good luck on your surgery and please keep us posted on the outcome.Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
