onepreciousk 19 Posted June 15, 2019 Ok. So I’m 3 days post op. Still some pain under my ribs and some fatigue. But not bad at all. I just have to actually take the cues from my body and rest. Went to the supermarket and everything looked delicious... but no temptation, just ready to get back to eating real (good) food when my body is ready. 3 1 Batty2000, ARMoma45, Angel Stew and 1 other reacted to this

Both my children followed in my footsteps and married at 20 years old! Oy Vey! I have sleep apnea, arthritis, and acid reflux. I will be moving to our next duty station in VA in August. (My husband is a United States Navy Submariner). My surgery is scheduled for June 24th! I am excited and nervous. I am on day two of my full liquid diet and I haven't felt hungry but I am burping a lot. Strange right?! I set a timer on my phone to go over every 10 minutes to remind me to drink. I good at consuming over 64 oz. of Water a day, but I want to be in the habit of taking sips every 10 minutes. It is nice to have this forum to interact with others going through the same things! I look forward to getting to know you all more! Welcome to our beautiful, dysfunctional family love!!! 1 1 Batty2000 and ARMoma45 reacted to this

Girl, let me tell you what is about to feel even more surreal for everyone who’s got a date coming soon. starladustangel 270 Posted June 16, 2019 I discovered these today. A little cheaper than premier on Amazon but they are pretty delicious. Downside is only chocolate and vanilla. I bought the vanilla. https://www.atkins.com/products/atkins-shakes/atkins-plus-protein-fiber-shakes/atkins-plus-vanilla 2 ARMoma45 and Batty2000 reacted to this

JamesL73 151 Posted June 16, 2019 Surgery went well yesterday. Woke up early this morning and been walking. Just had a long hot shower and feeling very well. Just a tiny bit of gas discomfort under my left ribs but all in all, nothing at all like my original VSG. Even the incisions don’t feel bad. They placed a drain on my left side that’s a bit sore but not bad. So ready for some broth or something besides ice chips. 7 Angel Stew, MgbGirl, starladustangel and 4 others reacted to this

I'm reading and taking notes on everything being shared. I went to do my labs today, before my pre- op appt. on June 27th so the Bariatric team can get a realistic look at what we need to do to get me surgery ready. My A1C is back up to 5.8 from 5.3, I'm anemic/iron deficient, had 3 periods since May 3rd (currently on the 3rd one), went to get an ultrasound today so I can get to the source of this body drama...On week 3 of my Options class (Kaiser 12 weeks mandatory), I've lost almost 30 pounds since last September....so I thought I was doing great and now all of this body drama. Today, I honestly feel scared & confused. My stress levels have already been high, I'm thankful for this platform and staying encouraged via all of you and your strength. Just remember that there's no use in stressing out over something you can't change. The additional stress is probably making your body drama even worse. I know it's easier said than done, but try your best to stay calm and just roll with whatever happens 2 Batty2000 and Krimsonbutterflies reacted to this
