When you go buy the clear drinks, I suggest getting the Protein 2.0. The Premier are wayyy too sweet, even more so than the shakes. I bought 4 cases of the Premier and can't stand them. Went yesterday and bought a case of the Protein 2.0 and they're much more tolerable. Downside is they're only 15g protein.

I will go look for them. I thought Walmart carried the Premier clear but they didn’t have any. What’s the best place everyone is finding variety? I bought a ton of yogurt, Soups and sugar free pudding. I’m so ready for my next step. I’ve been lucky I guess. Had very little nausea. No vomiting. Just some tightness when I go a little fast. Just some pain in my incisions LOL I have follow up Friday.

Who else here is on the pre-op liquid diet? I’m on day 4 and I’m SO TIRED. Does anyone have any tips? I don’t want to fall asleep at work, haha.

You will feel that way for a week or 2. It's the period where you are detoxing from all the carbs but as soon as your body starts to burn body fat for energy you will feel ok again, most likely even better than before. In the mean time keep up with your water/liquids and Protein and maybe take some B-12.

I'm on the liquid diet until my surgery Wednesday. The first 4-5 days sucked so bad for me but now I'm used to it. Idk if you're allowed to have caffeine on your diet but I can. I've cut down on it quite a bit but still drink a little when I get super tired. sugar free energy drinks are life for me right now lol

I think my surgeon recommended it too. I'll have to check it out!

I’m home from the hospital. Got home yesterday evening after a two night stay. My recovery is going well. My tummy is sore, but that is to be expected. No gas pain. No nausea or trouble keeping any of the Protein Shakes down. I am keeping up well on my Fluid intake. And, I’m keeping up with the schedule of meds. The one freak that happened is that I pulled muscle in my back trying to turn over on my side in the hospital bed. So, I left with awful lower left back pain. I’m resting all day today in the hope that the back pain will subside and I’ll be able to move about more tomorrow. How long before any of you started to feel kind of normal again?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
