Happy Humpday Everyone,

Well it is Day 3 on the liquid diet. And boy I wish I could cook anything right now including the air.

Today has been extremely hard since not eating anything since Sunday😞

It's a good thing, I am strong minded/willed because if I wasn't I would've grabbed the first thing appetizing and ATE IT!!!! But has helped me through today and probably the rest of the week are the lovely people in this forum. I am reading about the ups and downs and then looking at the before and after pictures, and it is giving me hope and encouragement to soldier on.

Monday is coming and quickly. I can't wait for it to come and go. I am getting very nervous and my mind is playing all the scenarios of what could go wrong...😏

But Rome Wasn't Built In A Day!!!🙄

Awesome that you endured so long. Now the pay off is around the corner. How much did you lose in 13 months?

How long on the liquid diet? Keep motivated and think on postive things. Go buy a outfit in the size you want to be and before long you will fit that outfit.

Purplediva! I'm with you, sister. The liquid diet hasn't been too bad, but the nights are terrible. The urge to snack surprised me.

This is the part I'm dreading. I'm a night eater. I eat most of my carbs and stuff at night and I'm terrified I'm going to mess up when I have to start my liquid diet next Wednesday. Ugh.

Bullet,

If you really want to go through with the surgery then you will do whatever it takes.

I wanted to watch QVC this evening but turned to another channel. My favorite host, David Venable was on..... And the show had food products on it.😕 I didn't want to further torture/temp myself. I keep coming back to the forum for support and encouragement...... And you gals/guys are AWESOME. With the JuneBunch, I can get through this. Fingers crossed.✌️

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
