Rice flour?

I know rice, bread and Pasta are out of the question but for pre- made mixes I notice that they use rice flour because it is gluten free. Would rice flour have the same effect of rice? This feels like a ridiculous question but I'm still curious nonetheless. Thanks!!

yes - since it's basically pulverized rice.
