Briswife15 890 Posted April 14, 2019 Maybe stop weighing every day. That way you won't get stressed with the up and down. I think you're doing great!!Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app 7 SassyWifey, ProudGrammy, karenbb8 and 4 others reacted to this

jaytissle55 180 Posted April 14, 2019 Stay off the scale for about a month, if you are weighing in in the morning and at night u r going to drive yourself nuts!!!! 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
GradyCat 3,695 Posted April 14, 2019 You've hit the Week 4 stall. Everybody gets it. It'll even out in a week or two and start losing again. Stay away from the scale, it's the enemy. 4 sillykitty, Sandra Nuelken, h.loch and 1 other reacted to this
catwoman7 11,221 Posted April 14, 2019 weight fluctuates all the time - even when we're losing. If you don't like seeing the fluctuations, just weigh yourself once a week - then you'll only see the trend (which will be down as long as you stick to your plan) 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this

Frustr8 7,886 Posted April 15, 2019 The average American desires instant gratification, but weight loss isn't a smooth sleek ride in a sports car, more like an old jalopy starting , stopping and trying to stay on course. I nearly stalled while on TPN, when it was DC'd I dropped 30 pounds, betcha I never am able to do that again! usually lose between 4-7 pounds a month at 7 months, just watch, since I bragged about it, the Longest Stall in Recorded History next could be mine, hope I didn't jinx myself. 2 Alpaca55 and belikewater reacted to this

I would pick one time of day, preferably in the am before eating and drinking and after using the restroom . I may weigh at other times of the day but that’s the only one that in my mind REALLY counts. You are doing amazing btw!! 🥳
Too many kids 16 Posted April 15, 2019 You are doing fantastic, be really proud of yourself. I was told to weigh first thing in the morning, after going to the loo and before a shower. I was weighing every day and getting disheartened so now it’s once a week with a realistic loss in my mind. Anything above that is a huge bonus. Well done again
anl1990 91 Posted April 15, 2019 Your weight is going to fluctuate - I know it is hard, but as others have said try to stay off of the scale. It can be such a curse and a blessing. I would suggest if you really want to see the numbers, aim for weekly instead of daily. It sounds to me like you are doing really well - embrace how far you have come so far! You are doing fantastic! LearningToLoveMeAgain 42 Posted April 15, 2019 Weight normally fluctuates multiple times throughout the day. You will weigh the least in the morning and the most in the evening, generally. I was obsessive about the scale for several years so I have it figured out that I lose 2.2 pounds overnight from what my bedtime weight is, after a normal day of eating and that's almost every night. If you insist on weighing yourself daily, do it once, in the morning after you wake up and use the bathroom, wearing similar clothing each time. Then stay off the scale the rest of the day. I no longer jump on the scale so frequently anymore because it stressed me out. Also congrats on the 30# loss! That's a huge loss for less than a month out from surgery! Please try to remember that your body is still healing so you'll have Fluid fluctuations that you won't have once you're healed. You're doing great!!
