Singlemom2018 1 Posted April 7, 2019 Did anyone have any problems with the two week liquid diet following surgerySent from my moto e5 (XT1920DL) using BariatricPal mobile app
GradyCat 3,695 Posted April 7, 2019 No problems. By the end, though, I was ready for some texture and real food, but it was very do-able and easy. I ate plenty of sugar-free popsicles! 1 DWentz reacted to this
Lynnlovesthebeach 626 Posted April 7, 2019 I had no problems with the liquid diet but I now think I'm addicted to the sugar free popsicles! 2 DWentz and Friday205 reacted to this
Danny Paul 761 Posted April 7, 2019 I never thought that the simple task of drinking Water would be so difficult. I found it a full time job to drink my 48 ounces each day. Thank fully, today I can chug down as much as I want. 1 gabybab reacted to this
Briswife15 890 Posted April 8, 2019 No problems. It takes me 12 hours though, to get in 100 ounces. I just sip slowly all day long. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
KCgirl061 1,532 Posted April 8, 2019 I'm not sure how people returned to work right away. It seemed like my only focus the first 2 weeks was to sip sip sip to get all my Fluid and Protein in. I managed but I literally sat in my recliner all day with a variety of fluids next to me. 1 WLH reacted to this
WLH 45 Posted April 8, 2019 I am/was pretty much like KCgirl. It's been difficult for me, but then I keep the thought that it's ONLY 2 weeks. Considering everything else, I can handle that!
anl1990 91 Posted April 8, 2019 I wouldn't say I had problems, but was it hard? Some days, yes. Especially towards the end, when I was ready for something at least somewhat solid. Honestly, though, I did not really have much of an appetite, so the only trouble I really had was just making sure I was getting in enough fluids and Protein. FancyChristine15 810 Posted April 8, 2019 What do you mean by "problems"? If you mean, did you want REAL food, then yes. I couldn't wait to have something other than sugar free popsicles and Protein Shakes. lol. If you mean medical problems, I did experience some diarrhea for the first 5-6 days after my surgery. I don't know if it was because of the surgery or because I was only on liquids or what.
