I’m 3 weeks out and still have Constipation . It gets bad for me , I’ve never had problems with constipation til now . I’ll be in the bathroom maybe 40 mins screaming because of the pain . I add Fiber sometimes even Miralax to my drinks but nothing seems to work ! When you find a solution please post 😭

MIRALAX AND Smooth Move TEA DAILY IS THE ONLY WAY I GO REGULAR AND IF I MISS A DAY I PAY DEARLY AS YOU STATED

Prebiotics Fiber greatly helps me along with the Miralax and Smooth Move rtea. I was so sick Wednesday that I couldn't work. At these stages we aren't getting enough fiber. But the Prebiotic fiber seems to work better than other types of fiber for me.

Trying putting one or both of your feet on a basketball. Same concept as the squatty potty and helps put your body in the correct position. Also I personally have been using Colace daily to help soften.

Well that would be cheaper than the Squatie Pottie, think thry run $28-30, a basketball would be much cheaper if it works!

I also have trouble with Constipation now. Never had an issue before surgery but it is what it is. I've been taking Aloe pills and that seems to be helping. Sometimes i'll have a BM every 2-3 days.
I actually started to add 1 tablespoon of chia seed and flax seed blend. Boy that has made all the difference.

I have had a life long struggle with Constipation. I take two colace stool softeners daily, equate brand at Walmart are same. My daughter took Phillips most of her life, has to be liquid form. She now takes miralax. Her gastrologist told her that she should sit on the pot at the same time every morning and train her self to go even if she didn't feel like it.

You also have to make sure you are getting all of your Water in. Need that water to move everything through.

I use one Glycerin Suppository in the morning and one at night, everyday! It helps me tremendously with the Constipation and gas pains. 👍🏻

And after my weekend I think a daily Ducolax might be in order, found out since I still have such a liquid it takes longer than the 6 hours billed to work, but work it does. Prefer that to sitting, straining and feeling like there is a softball sitting there that won't push through! I must be such an adorable individual that even my💩doesn't want to leave me!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
