Regular water or infant water?!

Recommended Posts

Its been 3 weeks since my surgery. So every time I tried drinking Water it makes me sick to my stomach!! Bloated, painful gases, and nauseous. Is this normal?

So I’ve been trying my son Water which is “infant water” and it’s a big difference. So my question is.. is this okay to drink? I know water is water but you never know.

Didn’t know you got special Water, most people here would just use cooled boiled water!

Honestly I prefer tap Water, but my kids insist on bottled water. When I travel to other states I drink only bottled water as their tap water upset my stomach.

Whatever you use, just be sure you're getting in your 64 oz of liquid daily so you don't dehydrate. I've never heard of "infant" Water before.

The infant Water like the nursery brand or Gerber water is lower in Flouride and contain special minerals for baby. I used them to make formulas for my kids.

Some people find that tap Water doesn't agree with them post up. You may consider getting a filter if you find tap doesn't agree with yoy. In the hospital, I ended getting my husband to bring me smartwater to finish my water challenge. The water from a filtered machine was just too metallic tasting. Hydration is hydration get it how you can!

I am good with tap Water in NY and prefer it better. I learned my lesson when I traveled to FL that water tore my stomach up. When I travel overseas i stick to bottled water only.

It’s the Water they use for baby when you mix the formula. I didn’t know that existed until I moved to Massachusetts.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
