BlooEyez 13 Posted November 16, 2007 I can too ... just don't swallow huge bites of it at a time as it can get stuck and hurt for awhile

~Trixie~ 0 Posted November 16, 2007 Since I am not yet banded, I can not speak for myself, but someone at the last support meeting that I attended says that creamy Peanut Butter has been a life saver for him! He puts some on a teaspoon and sucks on it slowly over a period of a few minutes. He says that it helps satisfy his sweet tooth and helps to curb his hunger. BlooEyez 13 Posted November 16, 2007 He puts some on a teaspoon and sucks on it slowly over a period of a few minutes. He says that it helps satisfy his sweet tooth and helps to curb his hunger. Thats exactly what I do! Gotta be careful though as Peanut Butter is a bit high in calories. I buy Skippy creamy and 2 Tablespoons is 190 calories
kvp 0 Posted November 16, 2007 I haven't been banded yet either, I LOVE Peanut Butter though. Maybe I need to stay away from it. I like the Skippy Natural creamy peanut butter. It is delicious.
Susanne 0 Posted November 16, 2007 Peanut Butter is great, I make a slice of Full Grain toast (very toasted) with peanut butter, make a great Breakfast.< /p>
Daisalana 33 Posted November 16, 2007 I think I likely could, but PB is one thing I haven't had since banding. I LOVE LOVE it. But, it is so high in calories for just 2tbsp (mine is also 190c for 2tbsp), I have yet to be able to eat it. If I'm gonna have 190c, I want a bowl of ice cream lol. I look at it in the pantry every once in a while and debate just getting a spoonful, but so far I haven't.
Lucy 0 Posted November 16, 2007 I don't buy it, I don't eat it. Too many calories in one little spoonful. LauraJ put it perfectly -- for 190 calories I could eat a bowl of frozen yogurt! (I try not to eat that, either)
Candle 11 Posted November 16, 2007 You should try PB2 Bell Plantation - PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter - Home
miztrniceguy 1 Posted November 16, 2007 i went to the website, but i couldnt find a description of what it is, how it differs from reg pb, how to use it, etc just here are the 2 products we sell, here are recipes, and buy some here. even the faq's dont explain what it is
Daisalana 33 Posted November 17, 2007 From what I heard about PB2, it's fine mixed in something (re:Smoothies), but just as Peanut Butter it's not that great.
Dietitian Betty 0 Posted November 17, 2007 I enjoy all natural nut butters. PB, Walnut butter, Cashew butter, Almond butter. Exellent sources of Protein, mono-unsat. fats and in some cases omega-3 fatty acids. Healthy, hearty and delicious!:hungry:
cosean 0 Posted November 17, 2007 I can eat the "oily" nut butters. I cannot eat skippy, jif or anything like that. I have also mixed Peanut Butter with silky tofu and a little honey and that is really good and goes down well.
