Aguilar 2 Posted April 2, 2019 Hi, this is my 1st on here. I am at a loss for this. I had my surgery in 2011 and I lost 100lbs and I can't lose anymore weight. I feel that if I can't eat normally, why can't I lose weight? I feel very disappointed and up set with my self. Sometimes I feel why did I ever do this if I can't lose weight to me sometimes it feels pointless. Would you have been able to lose 100 pounds on your own? You've done great losing that weight and should not be so hard on yourself!! I don't know where you started, but my group's definition of a successful surgery is losing 60% of your excess weight. Not everyone loses 100 % of their excess weight. I think you should be proud of your accomplishments!!Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 GreenTealael reacted to this

elcee 3,341 Posted April 2, 2019 Are you still sticking to the guidelines you were given? Still exercising, eating mainly Protein, keeping your calories low, avoiding sliders etc? Sometimes people don’t realise that they are not being as strict with themselves as they were when they first got the surgery. It might be time to go back to basics 3 MrsGamgee, GreenTealael and catwoman7 reacted to this

KCgirl061 1,532 Posted April 2, 2019 Can't rely solely on your surgery to lose the weight and maintain that weight loss. Your best bet would be to use your tool in conjunction with something that helps you make the right food choices like Weight Watchers or Noom. Start an exercise routine. Don't feel like you have to go at it hard core. Start walking or taking exercise classes like zumba. Good Luck!
