Calgalintx 26 Posted April 1, 2019 So, is it going to be easier to kick sugar out of my life prior to surgery or after? I am leaning towards after, since i won't be eating, and only mu liquids and purees for quite some time. I think I would be just miserable if I attempted to go completely off at this point. I of course have reduced, but not 100%. 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
SeattleLady 277 Posted April 1, 2019 Before! I had sugar withdrawal. I was sleepy, unkind and just kinda out of control. It's still not easy after my sleeve. I have now stopped again. At least my anti-depression and anxiety meds will help me blance. GreenTealael 25,430 Posted April 1, 2019 I think its truly easier prior. Detox while you can focus on one thing at a time. Good Luck 💜 2 Bari_KS and SeattleLady reacted to this
GradyCat 3,695 Posted April 2, 2019 I think it would be easier prior to get used to what to expect after and do it slowly to avoid withdrawals. I practiced pre-op on how to eat post-op 1 Bari_KS reacted to this

KCgirl061 1,532 Posted April 2, 2019 Since youre having bypass Id have to say before. I had sleeve and when my gherlin hormone disappeared for 6 months postop I had no problem giving up sugar. Then like an idiot I let it back in and now I'm on the struggle bus again.
