wls and vegan

Hey all! I'm ao excited to find this forum. I've just been perusing the existing threads and have found so much great information! I will be getting the gastric sleeve, hopefully soon! I have finished all my pre-op work so now I'm just waiting on my surgery date which I was told will probably be in 6-8 weeks. I'm super excited!! Thing is I'm vegan and have been for almost 2 years now. Which means no animal products of any kind. No meat, no dairy, no eggs etc. So.... I was wondering if there's anyone else here who's had this surgery and is also following a completely vegan diet? The doctor is excited about that and told me she expects it will be perfectly fine. I've found a couple of vegan Protein Shakes that look awesome so I'm all set with that. But i don't know anyone else who's had this surgery and is fully vegan. So if you're plant-based/vegan and have had wls I would live to hear all about your experienced and any sage above you may have! Thank you so much!!
