londyn93 7 Posted March 30, 2019 I just moved to the puréed stage of my program on the 27th. Sleeve surgery was on the 12th. During the full liquid stage was just nauseous most of the time. Yesterday I tried two baby spoons of yogurt and immediately threw up. Today I had a couple bites of scrambled egg and it went down fine, started drinking a Protein Drink and 20mins later I am throwing that up as well. Any tips to try and avoid being sick or what I should do? 1 1 GreenTealael and Liz The New Me reacted to this
GreenTealael 25,439 Posted March 30, 2019 Hi! You could try completely halting on the foods that are giving you issues while you consult with your Team. Try going back to the foods/point on your plan that you tolerated and for 24 hrs then slowly incorporate new foods one by one. Also separate eating from drinking of you aren't already (not clear from the description) Contact your Team anyway but definitely if this continue to worsen instead of improve with time. 💚💚 Congratulations on a safe surgery 💚💚 1 Liz The New Me reacted to this
londyn93 7 Posted March 30, 2019 Thanks I’ll try that. And have been waiting 30 mins before and after eating to drink anything. 2 Liz The New Me and GreenTealael reacted to this
skinny4kids 2 Posted March 30, 2019 I was eating solids in week3. I don’t throw up. Granted I only eat fish and broccoli and chicken. Too scared to try anything else.
Liz The New Me 281 Posted March 30, 2019 Remember we are all at different stages. The only one that counts is your stomach. Think of the plan as a guide only. Listening to your stomach it's new and in training. We all learn the hard way. I'm still learning to eat slower too or I start getting the "foamies". To this day I can't eat anything that is over cooked, or yogurt but that's me. So don't be to hard on yourself. 2 DaleCruse and Liz The New Me reacted to this
DaleCruse 756 Posted March 30, 2019 Remember that whatever makes you throw up now may not always make you throw up. Good luck! 1 Liz The New Me reacted to this
Frustr8 7,886 Posted March 30, 2019 And you may discover things later you never liked that you do now. And perhaps they will stay down where these things don't. I still have trouble with Greek Yogurt, cottage cheese and bananas and I'm 7 months past surgery. And all 3 were go-to prior to surgery, so I do miss them. 1 Liz The New Me reacted to this
