Megndanielle820 9 Posted March 21, 2019 I’m one week post op and I’m trying my hardest to follow everything the dr’s office says but I’m terrified I’m going to stretch my pouch. 2 FluffyChix and Kristinqtpie reacted to this
Catherine Wible 51 Posted March 21, 2019 I am 5 weeks out, and I know that if I don't stop eating the second I feel full, I feel it, and regret it! Eat slowly, chew until it is almost liquified, and keep your portions under 4 oz. You will do great. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
Avery's Mom 315 Posted March 21, 2019 just follow your plan....it will be ok. we all have that fear in the beginning. 1 FancyChristine15 reacted to this
Frustr8 7,886 Posted March 21, 2019 And even we RnY have that worry, that something could happen, especially those that have pouchs that don't complain and take what you put in gratefully. Ms Precious Pouch, maybe she has my personality, I get crabby too at times, but she is still winning the food battles, but I am learning and maybe not the end of the war, but if I follow her lead we do have a truce. FancyChristine15 810 Posted March 21, 2019 A lot of people have that fear, but it's not very likely to actually stretch. You will lose some restriction as time goes, but that's just how this surgery works. To stretch your pouch, you would have to overeat pretty regularly. 2 NYC_PAULA and FluffyChix reacted to this
nomdeplume 36 Posted March 21, 2019 That's a common fear many of us have, I think. But at one week post-op, I was still on a full-liquid diet. There's not a lot of restriction with liquids, so it's easy to feel like you're "eating" more than you should be able to, if that makes sense. 2 FluffyChix and Catherine Wible reacted to this
