Alikiinz 17 Posted March 20, 2019 So I was having a couple cups of coffee with cream (as a treat) and it was so hot when I was chewing gum it kinda melted and I swallowed it! Anyone ever done this? I’m only second week in to my operation. (March 11th was my date) I hear that swallowing gum and the time it takes to digest is an old wives tale but what can I do? Should I be worried? Alikiinz 17 Posted March 20, 2019 By the way I’m not 100% sure now if I did or not because I did spit out my gum before but if anyone has done this please comment!
elcee 3,341 Posted March 20, 2019 I can’t imagine drinking coffee and chewing gum at the same time!
FluffyChix 17,415 Posted March 20, 2019 No. I honestly haven't swallowed gum accidentally or intentionally since about first grade...
GradyCat 3,695 Posted March 20, 2019 Nope, I've never swallowed gum. Can't imagine it'll hurt you though. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
GreenTealael 25,430 Posted March 20, 2019 *Maybe* give up gum for a bit... You just had surgery less than 2 weeks ago. Ask your team for sure. 💜 Congratulations 💜 But...Why is coffee with cream a (parenthetical) treat ? Oh well 1 wjgo reacted to this
DanaC84 1,116 Posted March 20, 2019 I just saw an episode about this on a science show that confirms it is a old wives tale or myth. But I do believe it said it takes longer but not 7 years 🤷🏻♀️
