Jezzabelle360 84 Posted March 19, 2019 I had surgery on March 14th and still have not been able to lay in my bed. I've been sleeping in the recliner and it's KILLING my back! Anyone else find it painful to lay in bed on their side because of the weight of your own stomach? How long before you were able to do it? GradyCat 3,695 Posted March 19, 2019 I had the sleeve, so maybe it's different, but I didn't have any trouble sleeping or laying on my side. Good luck!
CurvyMom 386 Posted March 19, 2019 Took me about a week to lay on my side but I took Tylenol before bed and it absolutely helped. Two weeks and I could sleep on my stomach again without meds. 1 Jezzabelle360 reacted to this
lzucks 232 Posted March 19, 2019 It took me about a week to get comfortable on my side too. Till then I slept on my back, except for the first night home when I slept in a recliner. Getting out of bed was difficult and painful for a few days also. 1 Jezzabelle360 reacted to this

ladykrisgraff 14 Posted March 28, 2019 I used a wedge whenever I first came home. It seemed to help. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Try to get in your bed as soon as possible - I agree with the wedge pillow suggestion, I couldn't have done it without mine. 1 starr313 reacted to this
Frustr8 7,886 Posted March 28, 2019 Wear your compression stockings if you have them, do foot pumps where you wiggle your feet up and down, at least hourly. I speak from the lofty perch of lymphadema, you DO NOT WANT blood and fluids not moving. Lymphadema is not a fun thing to have👎 and blood clots are😧 life-threatening. We just got you😷 remodeled , renovated and realigned, don't want to lose you now!😎 1 Separ1418 reacted to this
