happyvsg 6 Posted March 15, 2019 I just had my one year post op anniversary. I have lost 83lbs and still need to lose 30 to 40lbs to hit my goal. I feel like I could have done better and I'm comparing myself and I shouldn't but it's so hard not to.Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 4 Orchids&Dragons, Aprilgal, thatch and 2 others reacted to this

S@ssen@ch 745 Posted March 15, 2019 (edited) 83 lbs is GREAT! It sounds like you and I are on similar paths. I'm at 11 months and have lost 78 lbs and I have about 40 left to lose. I contented myself with losing very slowly. Could I have been more faithful to the bariatric diet? Yes. But I'm happy and I feel great and to me, that's all that matters. Be as kind to yourself as you would to them. You've done great! 11 Jobber, Kendall66, ProudGrammy and 8 others reacted to this
EmzacksamMom 3 Posted March 15, 2019 Congrats on the great weight loss!!! I hear you regarding comparisons -- I know a couple of people at work who have had the gastric sleeve done and I find myself comparing and remembering seeing their weight loss was so obvious -- I've lost 80 lbs (surgery was last August) and feel I've been at a stand-still for months. Ugh. Going back to old eating habits which is scaring me to death. 2 ProudGrammy and rs reacted to this

If you're still in an energy deficit you're going to continue to lose weight. You're doing good with the weight loss.
