KCgirl061 1,532 Posted March 13, 2019 You're post op though, which means that your body is still recovering from surgery and likely retaining Water. I'm sure you'll see a big drop on the scale soon. Try not to stress about it and focus on those fluids. You're doing great! 2 annrose28 and DanaC84 reacted to this
GradyCat 3,695 Posted March 13, 2019 One pound lost is better than no pounds lost or a gain, right? You're still recovering from surgery. It'll come with time. Be patient. 5 Wanda247, DaleCruse, KimTriesRNY and 2 others reacted to this

DanaC84 1,116 Posted March 13, 2019 I came home weighing 12 lbs more than I went in and the scale didn’t budge those first few weeks. What everyone said, your body has been through a lot. Give it time to heal and adjust. Best advice that’s the hardest to take is lose the scale and don’t compare your loss rate with what you see others post. And if you haven’t yet, take your measurements. That has helped me a lot because even when the scale wasn’t moving my neck went down a whole inch in a week. Hang in there 👍🏻 1 annrose28 reacted to this
Frustr8 7,886 Posted March 13, 2019 All comes from them water- logging you while you're in there. Your body is peeved enough at you disturbing their status quo, so it holds on to that Fluid until it DECIDES it is the right time to release it, and "often inches start to go before the fluids all out-flow." A quicky, poem for you from yours truly! 1 annrose28 reacted to this
