Ok, so please note, I do not advocate drinking alcohol after WLS. Bad things happen to good bari peeps, mmmmkay?

Having said that, if you have a lot of stress in your life, this whacked crash diet from the 70's Vogue, sounds compelling on the surface! ;) bahahaha!

Ha! Right?

Wonder why Chablis? Do you think it was the driest of wines back in the day?

Probably so, or the author thought it made it sound more like The GOOD LIFE.

So in the interest of science ONLY, I plugged this into MyFitnessPal. I "may" have found my new "maintenance" diet. *snort* bahahahaaha!

And in the further interest of science, I may feel compelled to give this a shot next Thursday. :) (FYI, there are 25.36fl oz in a 750ml bottle of wine. So that's approximately 5 glasses of 5oz each=1glass brekky, 2 glasses lunch, 2 glasses dins). Cheers!

Maybe? Although my money would be on champagne.

I'd have to drink all 5 at/after dinner. (Certainly within my capabilities) If I drink early in the day, I get sleepy!

No I think you have to ration it out so you limit cals and carbs and one shot.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
