Sparkle36703 1 Posted March 7, 2019 Hi I’m just starting the process of doing everything to have my surgery I’m kind of nervous and really need this surgery to save my life I’ve been trying to have this surgery for the last 2-3 years but my insurance won’t cover it but know that my husband got a better job with better benefits it is covered. Just wanted to know what it was like first starting out
DanaC84 1,116 Posted March 7, 2019 Congratulations on your new journey!! Mine was like anything else new, exciting and slightly scary. I was really happy with my surgeon and his staff. They walked me through each process step by step and that worked best for me. Looking at the WHOLE enchilada can be a bit unnerving. Have you made an appointment with a surgeon yet? DukeGal1106 5 Posted March 10, 2019 It can be a little scary and intimidating. Stay resolute during the process, and stay on plan. Do what your surgeon and clinicians tell you to do. I won’t sugarcoat the fact that the first 2-3 weeks after surgery were rough for me. It’s not uncommon, but just remember it will get better as the weeks pass. 1 Mdnytangel reacted to this
