I am 10 days out of surgery and I am drinking about 80-90oz of Water a day. How much water are you able to keep down after surgery?

I didn't do all Water, but a combination of water, gatorade zero, and sugar-free popsicles, getting about the same amount in total as you

Dang, you're doing great! I got about 64oz of Water when I was 10 days out.

That's still good I met a few other patients that were drinking only half of what you drank.

That's awesome! I am 10 days after surgery and I can't get that much Water down - getting close though. I sip and sip all day but it's still a challenge for me.

Oh it is a challenge, I'm not perfect myself and I'm nearly 7 months. But I remind myself people do better on Fluid drive, dehydration really makes your pains and sorrow worse, I honestly do the 2 oz every 15 route, my pouch Ms Precious Pouch is a cranky taskmistress, the reason I'm awake and posting is she is not letting me sleep.. I simply am praying she doesn't want to engage in delayed vomiting or something. I'm still on Zofran, as well as Dexilent (PPI) and Carafate to heal my ulcers. I am not an average run- of- the-mill RnYer, but it is my Journey and I will get my final victory like everybody else, in the meantime It Is What It Is! Lived too long to cry about it, all my tears and fears have dried up, and I am still a tough old broad who is in it to Win it! Hey, set your mind to being a🌈 success and you will be!👈😜👉

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
