GradyCat 3,695 Posted March 1, 2019 I'm so excited! I'm about 12 weeks post-op gastric sleeve and I was worried about my pre-planned two week cruise and how I would manage to eat and stay on the right track. I was so good! I didn't eat a single dessert or Pasta or pizza. I had a cheese omelette every morning for Breakfast, salmon for dinner every night and various things for lunch but all making good choices. I just got back late last night and weighed this morning and I lost 2.5 pounds during my two-week cruise! Hooray! I exercised in the pool every morning and did lots of walking and stayed hydrated. I'm just so excited that I made good choices around all that ton of food on the cruise ship and still ended up losing weight! Hooray! Yippee! Here's a photo of me from the cruise - I've lost 25 pounds since surgery 12/11/18. 12 10 ms.sss, Liz The New Me, belinda7 and 19 others reacted to this

Karen D 16 Posted March 1, 2019 Congrats! I’ve got one cruise scheduled next month, before surgery, and one in September. I’ve been wondering how I would handle the one in September. You’ve inspired me by your success and that you still enjoyed it. Great picture! 3 GradyCat, belinda7 and BrighterSide reacted to this

AtlantaGirl 9 Posted March 1, 2019 That's great. I am going on a cruise in November and have been worried. Mostly because in the past I have eaten a gluttonous amount, but I am glad you showed it cruising can be done with the right choices. You look great too! Thanks for the inspo! 3 clsumrall, GradyCat and belinda7 reacted to this

justmetj 421 Posted March 2, 2019 Congratulations! You did so good. It can be a struggle to not give in to temptation while on vacation. (Didn't mean the rhyme).

abefroman329 704 Posted March 3, 2019 Congrats! We traveled on Cunard a few months before my surgery and I would have thought it’d be easy to keep on track on that cruise line because the portions in the main dining room were small and even the “buffet” was more of a cafeteria without a lot of serve-yourself options. Unfortunately the cruise lines that cater mainly to Americans are UNBELIEVABLY food-oriented. 2 ProudGrammy and GradyCat reacted to this
