Timmy J 6 Posted February 25, 2019 I'm 51 years old, I'm 5'9, I weigh 252 lbs., my bmi 38.19, I have sleep apena, GERD and I have a Hiatal Hernia. I just finished my first nutrition class, so I'm still in the early stages. What I would like to know if there is anyone with some the same diagnosis that have and will gastric bypass surgery help me? 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
James Marusek 5,244 Posted February 25, 2019 RNY Gastric bypass surgery should help with GERD and sleep apnea. It does not fix a hiatal hernia. That will need a separate operation to correct. But I suspect that operation may be done at the same time as the gastric bypass surgery. 2 ProudGrammy and FluffyChix reacted to this
