Miss Behaving 11 Posted February 21, 2019 Hi there! So I was informed today that I need to be at the hospital tomorrow evening at 12noon for my surgery. However I cannot eat/drink after midnight. That's 12+ hours with no food/drink! Is this normal? What can I do to help me out? I plan to go to work tomorrow morning to stay busy, thinking that it may help keep my mind off of wanting to eat/drink however I'm thinking it may be easier to sleep through it in the morning then head to the hospital. What worked for you?
Samantha T 41 Posted February 21, 2019 Starting at midnight you're not allowed? I think if you sleep for 8 hours and then get up and go to work then you'll only be going 4 hours without eating and drinking. I don't know if that's actually how long you sleep but 4 hours seems a lot shorter of a period if you think about it like that.Sent from my moto e5 plus using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Miss Behaving reacted to this
Miss Behaving 11 Posted February 22, 2019 That's a great way of looking at it, now that you say it like that. Thanks!I'm jus used to Breakfast and coffee. But my nerves will probably aid in me not being hungry either. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Samantha T reacted to this

Miss Behaving 11 Posted February 23, 2019 It went well everyone. Freaking out over nothing. I was thinking about the number 12, not taking into consideration I slept 6 hours of that, then got up and went to work to further keep myself occupied. I'm now entering day1 post-op. Thanks everyone for your encouraging words!Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app 4 Maria my turn, BlueIGT, DanaC84 and 1 other reacted to this
