Approved within 24 hours of submission! I had basically every test under the sun done to see if there was another cause apart from the high pressure sleeve. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this

I hiccup a bit and get chest gas pain but it could still be leftover from surgery. I’ve had a few times where I thought acid would come up but it hasn’t! I’m in the deep depression phase where I regret my surgery but in my heart of hearts I don’t even though I’m depressed and feeling low. I am taking 1x a day Prevacid for a month but even before surgery meds did nothing. I am 5 days post op of a sleeve revision. I was sleeved 26 days ago and had severe complications. I was unable to tolerate any liquids let alone anything else. I suffered from severe acid and bile reflux. Happy to report as of now I am feeling great. I am close to meeting my new Protein goal of 80 grams. I am still in some pain as the revision lasted 3 hours and I have a few more incision sites but getting better every day. Tylenol liquid has provided relief. I have to say reading the various posts on this site helped me get through the past 30 days. Thank you all who contribute! 3 claricey, bubbz333 and syltx3 reacted to this

Beckyonthebeach 1 Posted April 23, 2019 I had my revision on Thurs 4/18. Besides gas pains the first two days, I’m doing well. I am a little worried that I don’t feel the restriction I did with the sleeve at the beginning. I can drink as much as I want without any pain. 1 1 SeattleLady and syltx3 reacted to this
SeattleLady 277 Posted April 23, 2019 Did anyone have problems with insurance covering the revision? I have bcbs FEP Yes, for me its been a pain in the butt. However, there is always hope. I am fighting for my health with my docs against the insurance company. Its a matter of life/death and they 're making me prove it. I have a few more test this week. I all ready have date. Losingit2018 1,170 Posted April 24, 2019 @ Beckyonthebeach it is normal to be able to drink more after bypass. Your pyloric valve is no longer in tact. Therefore the Fluid is able to pass right through your pouch.
SeattleLady 277 Posted April 25, 2019 Lastest update, My date has changed to 6/13/2019. All test and approvals should be in by that time. I have some great docs. If nothing else? They treat me like a person not just a number. This is round two. I am ready to fight for my health. No dumping but I’ve watched my sugar and fat intake. I’m sure it’ll happen eventually once I move to solids next week. Just try and avoid processed sugar, period. And other sugar intake like fruit. I got a little out of it and almost sweaty when I had a low sugar yogurt too quickly. Passed in a couple minutes with no additional symptoms.

SeattleLady 277 Posted June 1, 2019 Hello everyone. I am going to see if my insurance will approve me for a revision to bypass . I currently have the sleeve. I have gerd, gastritis, and a small hiatal hernia. Did anyone who has meritain health insurance get approved for a revision? I hope so. I have the very same things. However, I spent the last 3 or so months proving it. Have you taking meds and taken any test that prove you current issues?
