Akfern 10 Posted February 20, 2019 I am 5 weeks out of surgery and having the hardest time eating!! Nothing sounds good... I have to make myself eat... my poor kids (14 and 16) May never get a home cooked meal again!! On the plus side they are learning to cook!! I know this is so new and I am sure over time things will change..
catwoman7 11,220 Posted February 20, 2019 they will. Your hunger and appetite will almost certainly come back sometime within the next few months, and things will get A LOT harder then. Enjoy this period of easy weight loss while you can - it's so much easier when you're never hungry!! p.s. there are a small minority of people whose hunger never comes back, but for the vast majority of us, it does. So take full of advantage of this time and lose as much as you can!! 1 KimTriesRNY reacted to this

ScoutCR 126 Posted March 3, 2019 I had no appetite for about 5-6 months and it is gradually coming back a little bit. I still feel like it is a pain to eat! Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise?
GettinSkinnywithit 180 Posted March 6, 2019 Funny, about the same time, I didn't really want to eat but I did want to cook, especially on my big green egg, so I would cook stuff eat one or two bites and that was it. As others have said take advantage of the "honeymoon" stage!
