Just wanted to know how much you've lost in three months?

I would appreciate feedback on: what food stage were you on in 3 mos, exercise routine, etc.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!! :)

Hi:

I lost 37 pounds in 3 months. I lost 38 pounds before banding too, so 75 total after 6 months.

I walk 4 to 5 miles per day and sometimes use the elpitical too. I usually take one day off from exercise per week.

Good luck.

Sue

I'm eating anything that I want to, in small quantities of course. I was following a modified weight watchers for two and a half months prior to banding, then I went through two weeks prior to surgery of liquids only, then two weeks of liquids post surgery, then mushies, then no limitations on what I eat, only limited by my little band friend as to how much I can eat. Of course, I'm not mowing down Cookies, cake, and ice cream, because I want this to work. I have had an occasional cookie, and I was having frozen yogurt once a week, but I had to walk to get it, so I felt like I earned these treats.

I feel much better, and lots of people tell me I'm really slimming down. I started with size 26/28 and today I have a size 20 pants on. My top half is thinner than my bottom half, but hopefully it will all balance out in the end.

Good luck, and let me know if you have any other questions. I'd be glad to help.

Sue

I've only lost 13 pounds. I lost a bit on the pre-op diet but gained it all back before my first fill. I got my third fill 10 days ago and I finally feel restriction and am eating a lot less.

I do admit that I haven't started exercising.

August 30th was my band date and 75 lbs as of today. I am able to eat anything in small portions, but avoid bread, sugars, sodas, rice, Pasta, potatoes, anything high in calories/carbs.

My exercise routine is walking 4-5 miles per day for 5 days a week, upper body weight training 2 times per week, lower body 2 times per week, like a modified Body for Life plan

I had my 3 month follow-up and have lost about 33lbs. I did not have a pre-op diet. I eat anything now, have a bit of restriction but not much and am going in for my third fill on Friday.

At 3 months I had lost 30 pounds exactly. I have yet to start exercising (I know - very bad of me). I have occassionaly gone for a bike ride (not exercise - nice and leisurely) and gone for walks (again leisurely). That is more active than I was but certainly not what I would consider exercise.

I have eaten just about whatever I want. I have stayed away from soft breads, popcorn, and limited my sweets.

I just went for my 4th fill; I have been fussed at to stop eating tortillas and french fries. I have really good restriction so I wouldn't even attempt either of them at this point.

Good luck to you on your journey!! :)

Oh - and I haven't touched a soda since a week before my surgery. I gave up my true love - Diet Coke.

I am self-pay so I didn't want to do anything to jeapordize my results. Seems like I would eat better and exercize too, huh? I'm working on it - lol or I'm gettin' 'round to it hehehe

I'm almost at 3 months and have lost 55lbs. 14lbs of that was on the 2 week pre-op liquid diet.

I can eat anything since I’ve only had one fill and not had any restriction yet. I try and stay away from carbs and sugar. I usually consume about 900 calories and 75 grams of Protein per day. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

Exercise is an area I need to work on. I walk 2 miles a day with my dog 4-5 days per week. Now that the weather has gotten cold, I've lost my motivation. I need to join a gym but haven't gotten the courage to do so yet. I went to Curves the other day but the membership fee plus $45.00 a month seems a bit high to me. <O:p

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
