catwoman7 11,220 Posted February 13, 2019 I lost 16 lbs in the first month, and 12 in the second month. The biggest lesson I learned is to never compare yourself to others. We all lose at different rates for all different reasons - age, gender, starting BMI, metabolism rate, whether or not we lost a lot of weight pre-op, etc. Your commitment to your program will have MUCH more impact on your eventual success than your rate of weight loss will. I was a slow loser from the get-go, and I lost every last pound of my excess weight. I just kept my nose to the grindstone and followed all the rules.. 8 Healthy_life2, rs, DanaC84 and 5 others reacted to this
rs 1,473 Posted February 13, 2019 My #1 takeaway from this community is this: Do. Not. Compare. Yourself. To. Others.#2 Do not weigh every day.26 lb loss so far is awesome so focus on that accomplishment. Best wishes on your continued journey. 5 FluffyChix, catwoman7, Wanda247 and 2 others reacted to this

You can't compare yourself to others who may have started at a higher weight or have a different body metabolism. Everybody loses differently. Just hang in there and let it do its thing over time. 5 rs, Healthy_life2, Liz The New Me and 2 others reacted to this

anl1990 91 Posted February 13, 2019 Don't be so hard on yourself - that is still a great number! I am right around that, and I had my surgery about a week before you. So many different factors go into it, just focus on yourself. 26 lbs is amazing, keep up the great work!! 1 rs reacted to this
