Healthy_life2 8,324 Posted February 12, 2019 Look up therapists in your area. Also check with your surgeons office for a referral 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
FluffyChix 17,415 Posted February 12, 2019 Also look at OA. We do have a local support group here that is huge and they bring in speakers. Frequently they are speakers about mental/emotional help and dealing with food relationships. Maybe you can try that as well? My doc and RD use a woman in connection with the practice. GradyCat 3,695 Posted February 12, 2019 I would think that your surgeon's office could refer you to a therapist or have one on their staff to work with you. My surgeon's office has therapists we can call anytime for free as part of our lifetime support.
Avery's Mom 315 Posted February 12, 2019 Did you like the therapist you saw prior to surgery? If so go back to see them. That is who I have seen. I too have a very emotional connection to food.
