Kacey1115 0 Posted February 12, 2019 (edited) So, I am considering having WLS this year and was wondering if they considered Hidradenitis Suppurative to be a Comorbidity requierment, The only cormobidity I have is Gerd and I take Pepcid over the counter for it so im not sure if that would be enough to get me approved for the surgery or not, I currently have Molina Under Medicaid. Hop_Scotch 1,632 Posted February 12, 2019 I guess it may depends if your surgeon can make a case for it to be included, According to the website link below excess weight can cause the symptoms to worsen. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hidradenitis-suppurativa/symptoms-causes/syc-20352306 Would Molina tell you what the accepted comorbidities are and whether they consider others not on the list if the surgeon is able to make a case for it?
