BigDaddy BGP 16 Posted March 11, 2019 Oddly enough, when my stomach starts "talking" to me, that's when I know that I am full...then it tells me about being full for about 45 minutes...I can just about set a watch that within 15 minutes of it quit "talking" to me, it is time to start drinking again...LOL
Nickycole86 10 Posted March 12, 2019 My mother is 5 or 6 years out, (maybe even more, I can’t remember) and a very successful sleever, she makes all kinds of weird noises sometimes and she doesn’t seem to even notice them but I do. As someone referenced the alien trying to get out above. That’s pretty accurate lol. If I can be half as successful as my momma my tummy can talk all it wants. :) She does not complain of any GERD issues but she did prior to the sleeve when she had the lap band. sneezergirl 38 Posted March 12, 2019 Hello, yes the gas pains the first 2 weeks sucked big time. It feels like a gigantic fart you just cant relieve. I walked so much and attempted squats and it did help. Keep up on Water and laxatives to keep regular because that's one of my biggest issues is only using the bathroom once or twice a week and I am 2.5 years out. When i drink over 64 oz of water I am able to go maybe 4 times per week so it does help alot. I would stick to your diet and just force fluids and walk and walk some more because thats what helps everything regulate. Keep in mind your pain will go away and the swelling is alot right now which may be causing tons of pain and bloating as well. My depression mostly came from the massive food intake change and I had huge hunger pains after surgery and still do. Unfortunately, I told my surgeon I think she forgot to remove the hunger hormone and she laughed. Our bodies will feel the hunger hormone only if we are dehydrated early on our thirst presents as hunger I was told. I always grab water when I feel it and after 8 oz it is still there then I go for a high Protein food. I am still getting back on track from an almost year stall and creeping in bad food choices but that's how I made my choices early on. STAY POSITIVE! your body is going through a huge make over and takes time to regulate. Good luckI had sleeve 5 days ago and still feel hungry all day. I'm getting 80+ grams of protein and 1 ounce of Fluid every 15 minutes. I hope it subsides.Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

mCATs70 0 Posted August 9, 2020 I'm 1 week post op and my stomach is constantly growling/gnawing and feeling like I am starving to death. I am drinking plenty of Protein Shakes and Water, but never seem to get it to stop for long. Today I am trying a very soft scrambled egg to see if that helps. Anyone else feel any similar issues? I have been afraid to eat anything, cause of all the discomfort that I'm having. The gas pains are unbearable. It hurts so much. I have also been depressed since the surgery. My question is will all of this pass. Or is this what I have to look forward to for the rest of my life. Sent from my LG-M327 using BariatricPal mobile app It will get better. Keep walking and it will pass. I had those stomach spasms for about a week. They will pass. I'm 5 weeks out and feel great. It will pass!! 1 pdc1605 reacted to this
Teres36 49 Posted December 22, 2020 I’m six months out and my stomach is so noisy after eating or drinking. There is no pain associated with the noise. My husband now calls me “Tiger” due to all the growling. 1 WalkingBlessing21 reacted to this

Lilmspete 1 Posted February 1, 2021 Hi, I am 20 years post op and my stomach still makes a lot of noise especially at night. I'm happy that I came across this website because I was really starting to get concern. I guess I'm noticing it a lot more now. The gastric bypass was worth it. I used to be 250 and I am 140 and holding. I wish you all the best with the surgery. 1 WalkingBlessing21 reacted to this
