I was released from the hospital yesterday, after one night in hospital. what did you eat your first day? And how much Water did you drink? Did you start off with your 60oz of water right away?

I have no feeling to eat which is so unreal.

I had bypass but I got about 40-50 ounces of water in. No Protein except a few sips. My drs office called to check in and she said that’s fine. Just try to get to 64 ounces by next Wednesday and also start Vitamins by then. I’m really just focusing on water right now. Today I had warm tea and that went down pretty well and 16 ounces of water so far. So about 24 ounces of fluids ... I’ll try something with protein a bit later

My first day home I was able to get in all of my Protein and about 50 oz water. My doctor told me to add my protein intake with my water intake. So getting close to 64 oz was kind of easy. I used medicine cups to measure my intake which helped a lot. Good luck on your journey..[emoji4] i wasn't hungry either but I made sure to drink some broth..

I had 20 oz of Water, Kosher Jello and dreams of Lenny Kravitz.

💙 Congratulations 💙

Lenny Kravitz was too cool! I placed him up there with Prince and Jimi Hendrix as far as being a musical icon.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
