Walter.Sobchak 978 Posted February 4, 2019 I am 18 months out and can easily take in 3000 to 4000 calories daily. if you dont address the underlying issues as to why you overate in the first place you will not have success. Clearly I have not addressed those issues and have started gaining again. I had lost 110 pounds but I have put 20 back on. I am trying to get refocused and considering got to OA but havent yet. 2 Frustr8 and LadySin reacted to this
KC Chris 9 Posted February 7, 2019 (edited) All I would add is that don't freak out over a single day of increased caloric intake. It can be explained with lower Water intake, increased carbs, or even Protein makeup. Go back to the basics and make sure you are not drinking with your meals and that you are not using sauces on/with your protein portions. Keep Proteins dry with spices only and eat more of this type of protein if hunger prevails. I've been at a weight loss stall of 40 lbs for almost 8 months and that is adding in a burn of 6500+ calories for the past two months. Although the scale is still not moving I have felt the need to add additional proteins to keep the hunger at bay. I'll chalk the immobile scale to a gain in muscle weight instead. Colleen’s 2 Posted February 7, 2019 Hi I’m almost 4 weeks post op... and like making of you I feel as if I’m eating too much!! I’m terrified of stretching my pouch (gastric sleevie here), and started purées and soft foods almost 2 weeks ago. Protein Drinks (and I’ve tried several) don’t agree with me but I do get a muscle milk in once a day. On the average I stay under 900 calories. But I am seeing a stall in my weight loss... nutritionist says this is common and wait for your body to adjust. Guess I’m impatient! Does anyone else have this issue at such a short time out of surgery???
