Frustr8 7,886 Posted February 1, 2019 A marked cup with ounces marked, preferredly see through, so you can keep track of intake. BABY Spoons, small pkates, small bowls, I started believe it or not drinking liquids from a shot glass, don't even drink, left over from Late Husband. gummies aren't too good, most don't recommend, first ingredients concentrated fruit juice, sugar or High Fructose Corn Syrup aka as Evil Carbohydrates. That's like shooting your toes off because the cowboy boots don't fit, not a brilliant idea!😧
Danny Paul 761 Posted February 1, 2019 I was on a liquid diet for two weeks post op. I got by with herbal teas, sugar free pops, sugar free Jello, broth (chicken or Vegetable) Crystal light and plenty of good ole ice Water. That was my diet for the two weeks. Just remember, drinking liquids right after surgery is really a chore. It will take a lot of effort to get in your daily allotment. Also, walk a lot it will help you . My surgeon did not require Vitamins until I was one month post op.
_JohnTaylot 2 Posted February 1, 2019 I had gastric bypass and I was told post OP you can not digest gummies properly the said you need pills or chewables.< br>Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
Jazzy1125 1,010 Posted February 1, 2019 Try not to stock up on too much stuff as your taste buds will change. Your Dr. may also give you a script for B12 shots instead of taking them orally. Just remember, take your time, drink (sip) slow and when you get to the food stages to go very slow. Something you may really enjoy you may want to eat bite after bite but it will make you not feel so good. Take a few minutes between bites and put your fork or spoon down to give it time to settle. KimTriesRNY 1,853 Posted February 1, 2019 gummy vitamins are not recommended post op bypass. They do not meet your Vitamin requirements. A modest budget chewable, Centrum chewable adult Multivitamin is a better choice. Good luck with your upcoming surgery!
LaNueva_Janie 143 Posted February 1, 2019 Well I’m counting down. I only have 4 days til my surgery. Getting my supplies for post op. Found a B12 and Gummy Vitamin. Any other suggestions for post diet. Pics of some things i bought before my surgery. I did buy baby cup, plate, spoon and fork. 5 ounce disposible cups with lids. Everyone is different but i had to make my own sugar free Jello and Soups. The ones i bought i didnt like after surgery.I bought a big container to put all my things in, for easy reach and so that no one grabs my stuff at home..lol (family) I did a lot of research on what I can eat after surgery. Don't buy too much but few things that you think you can tolerate. Hope this helps.Wish you all the luck![emoji4] Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Were you able to tolerate creamy Soups.I did but even though i bought organic creamy soups..I was told to watch those due to high sodium. I've looked at Multivitamins and they cost about $20 for 100 pills that's about $7 a month? Protein bars are way way over priced buy a whole tub of protein that will last a month...
