Beachbon 0 Posted November 14, 2007 OK...here's my take on fills. I had LP in 01/07 and lost about 100 pounds. The last fill I had during that 100 lb drop was in July 07. I was then at 7 ccs. Then I was too tight and started having serious issues. Couldn't lay down for the gerd at night and no solid food went down...SO they took out all Fluid for 10 days to get my tummy and whatever relaxed. Then they put back in 3 ccs. 3 ccs = NO restriction. So the dr added 2 more ccs. I had more restriction, but not enough. I lasted like that for 3 months. Last month I asked the dr for more ccs. I had crept up 8 lbs and was getting worried. So on Thursday, he added 3 ccs. I THINK THAT WAS WAY WAY TO AGRESSIVE...but that's another subject! On Friday I went back, gerd, not able to lay down, etc etc was back. So he took out 1.5 ccs. Thought I would be ok. Went home. Saturday OK. Sunday fair. MONDAY - horrible. Couldn't lay down, even with a wedge pillow. Slept in a recliner. But still had acid reflux so bad...so I went back yesterday to have .5 removed. LAST NIGHT WAS PERFECT...so the morale is to watch your fills. Don't get to agressive with them. :clap2:
Sades 4 Posted November 14, 2007 Thanks for this. I haven't had a fill yet, only 2 weeks out of surgery but am worried that things may go wrong at that stage since I've had a breeze run so far.
Beachbon 0 Posted November 14, 2007 Hi there -- I have had 5 or so fills to date. The numbing needle is easy and the fill is quick. Not even 1 minute. You'll be fine. Are you losing?
Sades 4 Posted November 14, 2007 I've lost 6 kilos so far (13 lbs) so far... happy with that. How much have you lost?
