True for sure! So many people think that once the surgery is done, they are done. This is indeed a lifelong committment and a constant watch of what we are doing all the time. If we let things pass, we will revert back to our old selves and be back where we started.

@Missouri-Lee's Summit

very true. - if your team is there for you after WLS that's great. Help with nutrition, etc. They

should be there, help/support advise. But maybe you need to initiate the visits/follow ups

with the group for them to help you.

Unfortunately - my "team" wasn't there for me. It was more like "slam, bam, thank you ma'am. 😞

i called my NUT, she had left the team. Transferred to new NUT - she didn't seem to care.

Luckily with the help of this board and OP - i have survived the past 7+ years PO well.

Hopefully most people have those great "surgery teams" that i missed out on

      Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

        Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

        Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
