Hey guys! I’m looking for the best self pay surgeon for a band to sleeve revision. I am seriously considering Mexico because I’m not rich. But this thing HAS to go!

I had my sleeve done in Tijuana Mexico

for $4400 ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE

Included an escort from the airport or border to our 5 star hotel which was also included along with bariatric diet food while there, the lab work, the pain meds, the surgery and a nurse came to my hotel daily to check on me and all the other WL patients that were there for their surgery and the doc checked me out before I left Mexico heading back to California. My surgeons name:

DR LOUISIANA Valenzuela

SUPER HAPPY WITH THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE AND SURGERY!! I highly recommend her.

If you are in the US go to Dr. Shillingford in boca Raton. Flat fee of $10,500 covers everything and he and the nurses/hospital were awesome. He is trying to keep people from going to Mexico because of complications and got this special discount rate. Very highly recommended and rated

That sounds like a pretty good deal. I know there are some great surgeons in Mexico, but if there's a complication, I would rather deal with a surgeon in the US where there is real accountability. It might be worth the extra money over having it done in Mexico. I was lucky enough to get my procedure covered under insurance, but if I didn't I would probably consider something like this or Blossom in Las Vegas over Mexico.

I am currently waiting for surgery in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-just under 2 hours to go. The surgeon that I am using-Dr. Gee- came highly recommended by Australians and Brits because they travel here frequently. He has done WLS on over 1500 patients. It was cost effective to me as I reside in China full time-an ESL teacher-so we were coming to Malaysia for winter holiday. My whole experience thus far has been very positive-it was under 3 weeks from my initial inquiry to today, the cost was just under $8000 but this didn't include my travel expenses but again, we were coming here anyway so I would have been out that expense either way.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
