Yesterday and today I am wiping orange after I pee/poop. Has anyone experienced this? I am 3 months post op?

Have you switched or made any changes to your Vitamins or medications? Be sure it is not blood.

I have had oddly coloured poops after eating certain foods (beets are a big one, for example.) Have you eaten any very colourful foods that might have 'bled' into your bowel movements?

Either way, probably a good idea that you are seeing a doctor, just to double check!

Orange stools are often caused by eating red or orange foods. supplements containing beta-carotene and aluminum hydroxide can turn stools orange. A lack of bile salts is one medical reason that can cause orange stool (from Google).

They did blood work and urine test. All tests came back normal. I was told to follow up with primary doctor if it continues. I also had a bad cough so got a prescription called Bromfed? I advised dr about not getting anything with NSAIDS...anyone taken this cough Syrup?

Glad to hear all came back ok. I am 5 weeks post op and I to have the orange urine. I think it's due to dehydration. I don't have any pains anywhere and my bowel movements are fine. So working on my Fluid intake.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
