Anyone ever heard of this? I searched the forums and had 0 results. My surgeon's office offers this procedure called ThermiSmooth Body. Here's their description of it and a link https://www.newyoubariatriccenter.com/your-weight-loss-journey/life-as-the-new-you/post-weight-loss-skin-tightening/ I've never ever heard of this before. Has anyone tried this post-op for skin tightening? There are before/after pics at the link.

"Do you have loose skin in your arms, legs or stomach? Are you interested in a non-surgical option for your New You? ThermiSmooth Body uses radiofrequency technology to gently and safely remodel collagen. By targeting the areas under the skin, we are able to tighten and firm loose skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite. This non-invasive procedure feels much like a hot stone massage. Treatments last 10 minutes per area and are performed over six sessions for best results."

Awesome! According to the Finger & Associates link, ThermiSmooth sounds like a better deal (haven't hit those other links yet):

  • Pain or discomfort: The ThermiSmooth–none. CoolSculpting (CS)–mild to moderate.
  • Pain or discomfort after treatment: ThermiSmooth–none. CoolSculpting–mild to moderate.
  • Numbness after treatment: ThermiSmooth–none. CS–yes, for a few days to weeks.
  • Swelling: ThermiSmooth–none. CoolSculpting–for a few days to weeks.
  • What to expect: ThermiSmooth–reduces fat, tightens skin, reduces wrinkles, reduces cellulite. CoolSculpting reduces fat.
  • The ThermiSmooth can be used virtually anywhere on the body plus around the eyes, forehead, mouth, lower face, areas not commonly used with CoolSculpting. Both can be used for the body, arms, legs and neck.

I've been curious about cool-sculpting as an alternative to plastic surgery

I bought a home cavitation machine in the hopes that it could help tighten the skin as I lose weight. There are several on the market. https://abeautyhealthy.com/ultrasound-cavitation-machines/ To be clear, I do not sell these!

I dont get it. As my understanding u say in your post that your surgeon uses this thermosmooth procedure. You also say that you trying to find info on it with 0 results. And you say you never heard of this before and you dont know anything about it... Then all of a sudden your Conversation changes and you know all about the procedue. You even put a website here and you have knowledge on what your saying. You explain it detail by detail. You even explain how it works n how long it takes n how many sessions nessesary. But i thought you said you couldnt find any info on it. Then you go on to say "We are able to tighten and firm loose skin" so you do know about this procedure and your promoting it. Is that it. Because you confused me here with two diff. Stories. Sorry im not here to offend no one i just want to know whats the deal.

The BP forums, at the time, had no info on ThermiSmooth. No one at the time had posted about it. I hadn’t researched it either. I was reading my surgeons site, saw it, copied and pasted the basic info into my post and was curious about other’s possible experience with it. I was sharing info I had just learned. I’m not promoting anything no more than people talk about their skin removal surgery. Chill out, lady. Geez. Not that big a deal. 🙄

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
