Real California April 76 Posted January 13, 2019 So...Im a student and just transferred. My new school has a gym where membership is included with tuition. I have a 2 hr break in between some classes and was considering restarting C25K. I LOVE running outside but i don't have time this semester. What is the difference? Is it just as good?Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
anonbaribabe 236 Posted January 13, 2019 If you're used to running outside, it will probably be easier for you to run on a treadmill (no air resistance, flat "terrain."). You can use the incline to more closely match the challenge of running outdoors. You'll still get a great cardio workout by running indoors. 3 Real California April, Frustr8 and ProudGrammy reacted to this
Biddy zz 🏳️🌈 1,004 Posted January 14, 2019 I started my couch25k on the treadmill, then at week 4 I had a month in Europe so ran outside - so cool, along Amsterdam canals, around the walls of Avignon, the Eiffel Tower, Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia etc etc. Stunning! Then back to the treadmill. Now I do a 5k Parkrun most weekends, and use a treadmill for my other two runs each week. The treadmill is physically a little easier - I guess the machine carries each stride back, so no muscles needed for propelling you forward. But mentally it is harder - I get really bored and want to quit before the 5k is up. I have started listening to podcasts which helps... 2 Real California April and belikewater reacted to this
