While I was in the hospital, I had a chart that gave me exact times to drink some Water from a 2 oz cup. I failed miserably. The nurses kept getting mad but I was not in my right mind the first couple days after surgery. I was just confused but eventually just started sipping every few minutes from a bottle of water. Jazzy1125 1,010 Posted January 13, 2019 follow your doctors orders. I think all doctors are different. Mine did not have me start Multivitamins until 4 weeks post op. I am now almost 9 weeks post op and havent started the Iron or Calcium. When i asked he said later down the road as needed. This could be because the multi i am taking actually has iron in it and i honestly didnt check on the calcium.
