MeaganMB 12 Posted January 13, 2019 It is only in the muscle under the incision my stomach came out of, but it is definitely still sore. Is this normal?
Frustr8 7,886 Posted January 13, 2019 Oh Heavens yes, a lot of times the surgeon will put extra stabilizing stitching there, and and your swollen flesh will tug at it. I would worry more if you felt totally numb there.

anonbaribabe 236 Posted January 13, 2019 I was sleeved on Tuesday and am definitely still sore and figure I will be for several more days. Today was the first day that I could get up with minimal pain and the first day that I haven't taken pain meds.
Elizabeth Klisiewicz 11 Posted January 13, 2019 As everyone said, soreness is expected. I am five days post op and just have a little tenderness around the incision points, especially the central one where most of the work happened. I notice it the most when I get in and out of bed or have to use my core muscles. But I am not on any pain meds at the moment, and that to me is a win. Take care and give yourself the time you need to heal.
