OhioSparkle 9 Posted January 11, 2019 I'm 4 months out. I haven't lost an OUNCE in over a month. WHAT am I doing wrong? I finally started eating better. I'm meeting Protein goals, I'm working out 30-min to an hour each day, (Before, I was barely eating, no protein, only water) and nothing. Is this normal? 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
KimTriesRNY 1,853 Posted January 11, 2019 You probably aren’t doing anything wrong. Sometimes our bodies just need to recalibrate when we are losing weight. If you have lost 75 pounds already, then that can be your cause for your stall. If you evaluate your behavior, and you honestly are following the program and giving it a go, then do not worry. Your stall will break eventually and you will keep losing. If you examine your diet and find some things creeping in that could be hindering progress, it’s time to take care of it. At four months out you likely are not able to eat enough to hinder your progress, but do you track your food intake? Do not get discouraged as difficult as it is. We all have stalls sooner or later. Just keep pushing through!
GradyCat 3,696 Posted January 11, 2019 I'm only a month out and the first three weeks I lost 15 pounds but this past week and a half I haven't lost anything, so I have moments of worry, but I know it's about the long-term and not the short-term and my body is just adjusting to all the changes from the size of my stomach, how many calories I'm taking in (800), exercising and reintroducing real food into my diet. Frustr8 7,886 Posted January 11, 2019 If 2 different doctor scales are correct I weighed the same yesterday as I did on December 18th, I think that officially means I have hit my very first stall, since I am sustained on TPN largely, I either delete the one shake or broth I give myself daily or I increase my activity level. Well, I am healthier maybe yesterday is wrong and I pray I really have lost a little more, Tuesday at Dr Needleman's will tell the tale, his is the one I really rely on. I have on a pair of pants that if I hadn't added new elastic would be falling off, maybe I'm deluding myself but I THINK I am getting smaller in measurements. Frustr8 7,886 Posted March 10, 2019 Stalls are really pauses your body takes. instead of running downhill Willy- nilly. Trust you're doing right, follow through by your doctors advice, get as much and as many varieties of exercise as you can get , does, not to be a gym, walking is also fine, have faith in yourself and things will work out just fine. This I do believe!😝👍
