PattyvSG 11 Posted January 10, 2019 (edited) I had surgery yesterday. Less than 24 hours ago. Questioning my decision. Drinking is so hard. What I would give to feel better than this?!?! Someone please tell me that it will get better soon! How long until you start feeling like being out of bed! Faith2002 12 Posted January 10, 2019 Normal to question what have I done. Walk, walk, walk. Sip, sip, sip. Repeat. Sooner you get up a move the better you will feel. Had me up walking same day. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
JessLess 1,163 Posted January 10, 2019 It will get better soon! A lot of the discomfort is probably from the anesthesia and pain medication. I spent two nights in the hospital and felt pretty badly for about a week after surgery and then I felt much better! After two weeks I was back at my office, feeling OK. A few weeks out and you probably won't even remember how badly you felt, you'll be watching pounds drop off. 2 FluffyChix and 🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺 reacted to this
Letsgetgoing2018 448 Posted January 10, 2019 Hang in there. The first few days suck. It will get better. Slow sips, keep your body moving. Normal-everything you’re feeling. We’re all here for you. Every day will get a little better and before you know it you’ll look back and smile at your new life! 1 FluffyChix reacted to this

A lot of people have unusual hormonal responses to the surgery and some people suffer from depression afterwards. If you don't feel better in a fews weeks, you might want to talk to a therapist. But feeling cruddy right now is totally normal. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this

BrendaV2262 3 Posted January 10, 2019 I haven't had my sleeve surgery yet, but I am thinking of Cesarean childbirth. I can't imagine pain worse than that. I couldn't get out if bed on my own for over a week. Is the sleeve worse than childbirth?Sent from my LG-SP200 using BariatricPal mobile app
Bari_KS 499 Posted January 10, 2019 I did not have any pain at all after being sleeved. Just discomfort. Walking helped a lot with that. In one week I was ok.
Letsgetgoing2018 448 Posted January 10, 2019 More discomfort than pain. Walking and moving is Key to releasing the gas.
