ldawn 178 Posted February 3, 2019 Tonya Why would they keep you in the hospital so long? I have heard of band to bypass staying a few days.
Gottajustdoit 220 Posted February 3, 2019 I'm having gastric bypass and my doctor said I'll only be in the hospital one night unless I'm not doing well. Hope you can leave sooner. Good idea about bringing your own pillow. And thanks for reminding me to bring my Chapstick. Ugh. The CPAP! I have a love/hate relationship with mine and hope that someday I will no longer need it (although my brother is the perfect weight and he has been on one for years). I was diagnosed with sleep apnea about 6 years ago and still hate the darn machine, but if I miss even one night I'm miserable the next day. Here's to a CPAP-less future for both of us! Although The 10th is the earliest I would go home they said because my surgery isn't until 12 15pm.Sent from my LM-Q710(FGN) using BariatricPal mobile app

I’m dying!! 😩 I'm on day 8 of this, well Optifast Protein Shakes. It's easier now. I have 6 more days of it followed by 2 days of just clear fluids and then surgery on the 11th. I am dreading the 2 days of just clear though, I think I'll be starving then. Or maybe I will be so nervous that the surgery is so close I won't notice lol. New to this app lid--any reason why you didn't share it with those closest to you? Do you have someone to help you home after surgery?
lidi05 3 Posted February 4, 2019 I will be taking an Uber. I guess I’m just very embarrassed and ashamed it has come to this. Also, I don’t think anyone in my life would understand. Literally my whole family is skinny. I suffer from anxiety and having this major surgery is weighing heavy on me. I keep thinking something might go wrong at the operating table

Recidivist 1,141 Posted February 4, 2019 Hi, all. I've announced my date before, but as a reminder--I will be on February 25, probably the latest in the February group. My liquid diet will start on February 11, and my surgeon said I will be in the hospital for one night. I'm excited and apprehensive--I just want it over with at this point. 1 gerl86 reacted to this
