Dubs12 7 Posted January 3, 2019 So my issue is I’m always full. I don’t want to eat because I’m not hungry. I drink a Protein Shake in the morning and maybe a little yogurt or scrambled egg. That keeps me full most of the day. It scares me because it’s hard getting all of my Protein in. Surgery was 12-7. Is this normal?
FluffyChix 17,415 Posted January 3, 2019 (edited) Yes. It's normal. But here's the thing. It's your responsibility to figure it out. Figure out a way to get your Protein in. We all did it. Ask your doc what your protein goal is for this early out. Many only had a 40-48g protein total. By the end of my first week, I was getting 60g in. I ate according to a timer and schedule and not because I was hungry. And 60g is only 2 drinks. Add a spoon of Protein Powder to your yogurt to up the protein total. Add an ounce of Protein Drink to your yogurt to thin it out. Add protein powder to your eggs (unflavored). If you tolerate cheese, add some cheese. I love cottage cheese cooked with scrambled eggs. It melts! Who knew? Edited January 3, 2019 by FluffyChix 4 slummus241 , sillykitty, Wanda247 and 1 other reacted to this

Is this normal? Yes, this is normal. You still have great surgery restriction. Getting your food in may seem like a chore. The restriction will be less as you get further out from surgery. hang in there and trust the process. 1 sillykitty reacted to this
Jeelena2019 29 Posted January 3, 2019 I hear you I am full all the time too. I set a timer and make my self eat 5 very small meals a day about 1-1 1/2 oz. I can’t get 3-4 oz in at a time. The most Protein I have been able to consume is 40 grams. I mix unflavored protein in everything. I am down 32 lbs in 3 weeks. My eyes are bigger than my stomach for sure .... 2 Healthy_life and FluffyChix reacted to this
