Funny, been a little less than 4 months and I barely can see mine. I guess I won the skin scar lottery, after all.

they are so small, i wonder if you really need anything. I am only 7 weeks out and i can feel the scar tissue under the skin but barely can see the actual scars.. except for the one where they removed the stomach.

I used Frankenscence essential oil. Worked great for me!

I was lucky enough to have single port surgery through my bellybutton, but I have used Vitamin E (straight from the capsule, use a needle to puncture it) and Mederma with success for other scars. Microdermabrasion, peels and Retin-A can help as well, ask your dermatologist.

I'm super vain, so I did a lot of research about how to prevent and reduce scarring. Only silicone tape or gel has been clinically proven to reduce scarring. If you do any research on plastic surgery, using silicone tape is almost universally recommended. It has a long history of being used on burn patients.

I used silicone tape, from Amazon. It was cheap, I still have tons left since you only use like an inch at a time, to cover all your little scars. I tried the gel, but it requires 2 or more applications a day. I'm too lazy for that. The scar tape last 3-6 days on me, through showers and everything.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
