Stevelovesmusic 0 Posted November 13, 2007 Well, I'm 11 days postop now. Doing well except I notice that my appetite is nearly the same as preop. I guess I have to wait a month until my first fill. I am dieting though and have lost over 10 lb so far. Yet I feel hungry much of the time. Can't wait for the first fill. How have others coped with this time before the fills begin? juliegeraci 7 Posted November 13, 2007 I filled up on Soups big time. Your hunger will get better after you start getting fills.
georgia girl 35 Posted November 14, 2007 I feel the same way. I've had one fill and I still feel like I can eat anything I want. I'm hoping fill #2 does the trick.
StrawberryGrl 0 Posted November 14, 2007 I think the time between the surgery and the first fill is different for everyone. I honestly didn't have much of an appitite until right before I was filled. I've continously been told to eat small portion and then check myself to see how full I really am. In other words eat and then wait 15-20 mins to see if I'm still hungry or not. If I am then I can eat a lil bit more, if not then I'm set. Don't get me wrong though I still get hungry. It's not going to go away, no matter what people may think. Hunger happens. wombat712 2 Posted November 14, 2007 I wasn't overly hungry before my first fill except for about a week before. I was extremely worried about eating something "bad" and hurting my band. I ate really slow and chewed a ton even if I didn't feel like I needed to. Eating that slow tells your brain that your full before you eat too much. You can make it through this recovery time! Good luck on your new journey
